While the origins of this prayer are unknown, it is over 100 years old and may have come from Ireland.
If the St. Andrew novena was prayed as a regular 9-day novena, it would end on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th. However, this novena prayer is actually traditionally prayed much longer than 9 days. It is prayed through all four weeks of Advent.
It is believed that whoever piously recites the St. Andrew Christmas novena prayer 15 times each day from the feast of St. Andrew (November 30th) until Christmas Eve, will obtain the favor requested.
It may not be easy to pray this novena 15 times a day for 25 days, but if you are able to, this prayer will undoubtedly leave your heart well-prepared to welcome the coming of Christ. One could break the 15 prayers in 5 prayers 3 times a day perhaps at each mealtime. The beauty and sweetness of this prayer will unfold for you through its daily recitation, allowing you to meditate more fully on the profound mystery of the Incarnation.
FEAST OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE (Dec. 12)
Prayers to Our Lady of Guadalupe
O Purest Virgin of Guadalupe, obtain for me from your Divine Son the forgiveness of my sins, blessing for my work, remedy to my diseases and needs, and everything that you think it is convenient to ask for me and my family. O Holy Mother of God! Do not despise the supplications that we address to you in our needs, before ridding us of all dangers. O Virgin full of glory and blessing! Through Christ Our Lord, Amen. (Pray an Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be, in gratitude for the miraculous Portrait, miracle and continuous testimony.)
Our Lady of Guadalupe, mystical rose, make intercession for the Holy Church; protect the Holy Father; help all those who invoke you in their needs. Since you are the ever Virgin Mary and Mother of the true God, obtain for us from your most holy Son Jesus the grace of keeping our faith, sweet hope in the midst of the difficulties of life, burning charity, and the precious gift of final perseverance. Amen. Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas, pray for us.
John Paul II’s Prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe
O Immaculate Virgin, Mother of the true God and Mother of the Church, who from this place reveal your clemency and your pity to all those who ask for your protection, hear the prayer that we address to you with filial trust, and present it to your Son Jesus, our sole Redeemer.
Mother of Mercy, Teacher of hidden and silent sacrifice, to you, who come to meet us sinners, we dedicate on this day all our being and all our love. We also dedicate to you our life, our work, our joys, our infirmities and our sorrows. Grant peace, justice and prosperity to our peoples; for we entrust to your care all that we have and all that we are, our Lady and Mother. We wish to be entirely yours and to walk with you along the way of complete faithfulness to Jesus Christ in His Church; hold us always with your loving hand.
Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas, we pray to you for all the Bishops, that they may lead the faithful along paths of intense Christian life, of love and humble service of God and souls. Contemplate this immense harvest, and intercede with the Lord that He may instill a hunger for holiness in the whole people of God, and grant abundant vocations of priests and religious, strong in the faith and zealous dispensers of God’s mysteries.
Grant to our homes the grace of loving and respecting life in its beginnings, with the same love with which you conceived in your womb the life of the Son of God. Blessed Virgin Mary, protect our families, so that they may always be united, and bless the upbringing of our children.
Our hope, look upon us with compassion, teach us to go continually to Jesus and, if we fall, help us to rise again, to return to Him, by means of the confession of our faults and sins in the Sacrament of Penance, which gives peace to the soul.
We beg you to grant us a great love for all the holy Sacraments, which are, as it were, the signs that your Son left us on earth.
Thus, Most Holy Mother, with the peace of God in our conscience, with our hearts free from evil and hatred, we will be able to bring to all true joy and true peace, which come to us from your son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
Act of Reparation on Dec 12 at 3:00 PM
ACT OF REPARATION FOR THE SACRILEGES COMMITTED AT THE VATICAN DURING THE PAGAN SYNOD OF OCTOBER 2019
We propose to all our Prayer Groups in the whole world to unite in an act of reparation, by a Crusade of Prayers, following the sacrilegious idolatries committed in the Vatican Gardens on October 4, the day of the Feast of St. Francis , then inside St. Peter's Basilica, on the very Altar of the Sacrifice of our Saviour, and in other churches in Rome. Our duty as Christians is to make a great act of public repair.
The date of THURSDAY 12 DECEMBER at 3 pm (local time), day of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, is particularly appropriate, because Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Mother, Patroness of the Americas. It is indeed Our pregnant Lady of Guadalupe who was targeted, attacked and sullied through the Amazonian rituals around the Pachamama. While the All-Pure Virgin gives birth to Christ our Saviour, the Pachamama gives birth to the son of Satan, God's nemesis.
We invite you to join us in union with all our Jesus to Mankind Prayer Groups around the world, at 3 pm (local time) in your usual church if possible, and recite a Prayer Crusade (whose power is multiplied by 30 as compared to other prayers).
Crusade of Prayers
96, 29, 30, 36, 44, 63, 87, 99, 121, 144, 157, 158, 164, 96
Chaplet to the Divine Mercy - related to Crusade Prayer 117 to ask for mercy to God for all those who joined these pagan rituals, and who continue to do so.
Rosary of the Virgin Mary - related to Crusade Prayer 26 for the salvation of all souls and the conversion of all nations
For our working members, perhaps they can take a 15-minute break to recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00 pm, followed by Prayer 117 as previously stated. They could recite other prayers before or after lunch, or in the evening at home, if possible with their families.
